CABIN LEADER
Our desire is that our summer staff would first and foremost walk away from the summer knowing more of our Father’s heart, our Savior’s life, and the Holy Spirit’s power.
This is a program designed to help you grow in Christian leadership and spiritual development. We have structured discipleship all summer long, ranging from staff devotions, to set times you can spend with God, to personal one-on-one discipleship opportunities.
It is our greatest desire for you not only to minister to others during the summer, but that you also come to know Christ in a deeper way in your personal life as well!
Reach out to Paige at Paige.Jergens@RiversideLBC.org with any questions you may have about working at Riverside!

Who? Those who have graduated high school through college-age!
What do we do each week? Cabin leaders are also responsible for teaching and at times disciplining youth, be good role models by being appropriate in all things, at all times, and following ALL camp rules.
Campers stay in cabins with two cabin leaders and participate in everything on the main camp site.
You get to…
lead them throughout their day, build relationships with youth, have fun, live life with your campers and point your campers to Christ!
What’s the summer schedule like?
- Two weeks of training
- 9 weeks of summer camp (on site for 5-8 weeks and sent out for day camps 1-3 weeks)
How much would I get paid? You will be paid $300 per full week (including training!) at Riverside plus room and board. (+$10 per returning summer)
Only able to commit half a summer? Riverside hires up to eight “First half only” cabin leaders and up to eight “Second half only” cabin leaders:
- Both halves would attend two weeks of training at the start of the summer with the rest of the team.
- The first half team would work weeks 1-5 (with the option of week 4 – a half week – off), and the second half team would work weeks 5-9.
- If you choose to work half a summer, you will not be granted additional time off during the half you choose.
