November Update

What a great fall it has been at Riverside! Camp has been full with weekend retreats with people coming from all over the midwest for Christ-centered, refreshing camp experiences. We continue to see God move in great ways at camp and here are a few reflections on this past month:

God's Abundant Provision

As I began to write our year-end letter to our ministry partners, this photo popped up in my memory. What a year it has been, where we've continued to experience God's abundant provision for His continued work at His camp. These are only a few of the hundreds of ministry partners that God has used for years to provide for His camp. This picture was taken at our Partner Dinner this last May, where we celebrated meeting our year end goal of $425,000 to purchase 17 acres of new land and finish the year as a ministry strong heading into 2022. As we look towards the end of 2022, I invite you to prayerfully discern how the Lord might be leading you to partner with the continued life-changing ministry of Riverside as we head into 2023.

Thankful for Volunteers!

We've been continually blessed by volunteers at camp, which help us continue to steward our buildings and property well for years to come. This youth group from State Center was such a blessing in helping us clear out growing brush from around sidewalks and several areas of roads. Thanks, crew! We're constantly in need of volunteers with many different ways to serve. If you're interested in getting plugged in, call or email our office (RLBC@riversideLBC.org).

I Am They Concert

For years, we have used songs from the band, I Am They, for worship at Riverside (one of our favorites being "From the Day"). When I saw that they had announced their last tour as a band, I thought, "Now is the time!" I filled out the form online at around 9pm one night and the next morning, I had a response from the agent that they'd be interested in looking at a date-November 10. What?! Everything fell into place for us to be blessed with an incredible night of worship with a sold out Chapel on November 10! Joining us at the concert was: I Am They, Jonathan Traylor, and new band, Chase & Co. I'm thankful to our staff and the over 30 volunteers that made this event possible, as well as the 200+ attendees. What an amazing night of Spirit led worship with friends!

Dear friends, on behalf of our staff and Board of Directors, we're so grateful for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support as we stay laser focused on our mission, "To know Jesus Christ and to make Christ known to all." God bless you!

With gratitude,

Chris
