July Update

Summer Camp Update.

The summer seems to be flying by here at Riverside! What a great summer it's been getting a front row seat to seeing God change and transform lives. Here is what some of our parents are saying about their camper's experience at camp:

"My camper thought that the best aspect of the summer programming this year was getting to worship Jesus in the Chapel with awesome songs."
"My camper loved the horses and ziplining for activities. She enjoyed learning about Christ and why He died for our sins. She has openly prayed multiple times in the last 24 hours since being home. This is a huge change!"

We praise God and celebrate all that He has done this summer and continues to do in and through His camp. We're reminded in Matthew 6 to 'seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness', and that is our constant aim here at Riverside, to seek first God's rule and reign in the lives of His kids. While we receive great feedback from parents, we also know there's more we can continue to do to provide excellent Christ-centered camp experiences. We're so grateful to parents taking time to share with us ways that we can continue to grow as a ministry, and keep our program laser focused on our mission, "To know Jesus Christ and to make Christ known to all."

Please keep us in your prayers as we have 3 more weeks of camp left, with our last day of summer camp being Friday August 12.

Upcoming Supporting Events:

*5K and Quilt Day on Saturday August 6

*Riverside Golf Classic on Friday September 16

Two of our biggest supporting events are coming up in the next two months. These are great ways for you to not only give towards God's work through Riverside, but to also participate and engage in these fun community events! Please check your calendars and join us for these two events. Between these two events last year, we raised nearly $70,000 for the continued Christ-centered ministry of Riverside! Staffing Update.

As you may have already heard, our year around Program Coordinator, Lute Olson, has answered God's call to head back into teaching with his wife, Megan, in Hawaii. We began the hiring process for Lute's position as soon as he told us, and we're excited to share that the Lord has led us to call Gabby Hartmann to serve as our new Program Coordinator. Gabby will start with us at the end of August, and jump in with our two other year around program team leaders, Lizzie Hill and Cait Skarin. Welcome, Gabby!

We're so grateful for your continued prayers for the Lord's work through His camp. God's blessings to you!

Chris
