January Update
"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4-7
There is so much to be thankful for as we reflect on a full year of ministry here at Riverside. I specifically want to thank the many people who pray consistently for the ministry of Riverside. We've seen the Lord move in clear and powerful ways through prayer over the years. Anytime an individual or congregation mentions that they are praying regularly for the ministry of Riverside, it brings great peace to my heart. Why? Because we're laying the camp in His more than capable hands, asking Him to continue to use His camp for His purposes. I invite you to add the ministry of Riverside to your regular prayers in this new year!
Here are some exciting updates as we head into a new year of ministry!
625. We're so grateful for the 625 households/churches/organizations that generously gave a gift to the ministry of Riverside in 2024. The ministry of Riverside depends on these partners to help us continue our important mission, which is for all people to know and experience the extravagant love of Jesus! In total, over $513,000 was given in gifts through these partners. Praise God!
Zero. Why am I grateful for the number zero? This is the amount of campers who could not register for camp because of their financial circumstances. Between the churches and generous partners in ministry, we continue to make sure that all who are led to camp are able to come, regardless of their finances!
One. Our continued mission here at Riverside is "to know Jesus Christ and to make Christ known to all." Whether it's a church group leading their own retreat, a church staff retreat, or our own programmed events, this is our sole purpose.
Nine. We will continue to offer nine incredible weeks of Summer Camp again in 2025: 8 youth weeks and 1 Family Camp week. We're excited about summer 2025, and I strongly encourage you to prioritize a week of camp in your child's summer.
21.76. This month, we are excited to purchase the land we have been leasing for the last several years. These 21.76 acres will continue to be used for hayground, trails, and other future opportunities. This will bring our total property up to 153.79 acres. This land purchase is fully funded thanks to some generous estate gifts over the past few years for future capital expenditures and the donations of a few families at year-end! Praising God for His continued provision.
