2018 Quilt Auction
We continue to be amazed and thankful in how God provides for campers to attend Riverside each and every year, regardless of their financial situation.
Praise God for his faithfulness and the opportunities created for kids to experience the love of Jesus at Riverside.
Totals to report:
$41,505.10 raised for the whole day (with the 5K)!
205 people attended the auction!
274 items were auctioned off!
There were many laughs and memories made once again at the live auction. The day started with our 5K run/walk, followed by a time of musical worship and a message. Then folks enjoyed a wonderful BBQ Turkey lunch (thanks to Woodland Farms in Story City) as well as peruse through the silent auction. We once again want to thank all of the incredibly gifted people who helped quilt the masterpieces for this great event. We could not do this without you! Thanks to the many volunteers, our summer staff, as well as all of the wonderful people who bid on quilts. We hope to see you all next year!
5K Specific:
This was the third year for the team event, where churches competed for the Riverside Church's Cup. While Webster City took home the overall title, Lutheran Church of Hope - Ames took home the R5K Church's Cup! Harvest Vineyard was 3rd overall, with Lutheran Church of Hope - Ankeny taking 4th.
For the individuals, Jason and Joshua Peppers paved the way, finishing first and second respectively. Jason ran a blistering 16:58. On the women's side of things, Staci Springer was the champion with a time of 20:30, while Dr. Andrea Moeller came in second with a time of 20:33.
