Quilt Auction - Saturday, August 9, 2008
Riverside’s Annual Quilt Auction will be held on Saturday again. Spread the word!!
Previewing will begin at 10:00 AM in the air-conditioned chapel,
the turkey barbecue will be served in the dining hall from 11:30—12:30
and the Auction will begin at 1:00 PM.
There will be a Silent Auction consisting of baby quilts and small items. The Silent Auction will be open for bidding from 10:00-12:15 and bidders will know the results by the time the live auction begins. There will be a brief outdoor worship at 10:30.
Our auctioneers will, once again, be Willard Oppedal and Jody McCaskey. We are so grateful that they volunteer for Riverside on this day. What a blessing! Funds from the Quilt Auction make it possible for the Riverside Ministry to continue to expand and reach thousands each year. Last year Riverside received over $51,000 on Quilt Auction Day! A BIG thank you to many of you who give generously—some sew, some buy, some do both! God bless you! Quilts will again be posted on our website this summer as they are delivered to Riverside.
